Unemployed Isn't So Bad

Wow, time flies.  I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since the big layoff.  We've been staying very busy and I've been having a good time playing with the boys.  Sometimes it's hard to tell them that I can't play because I need to get some work done.

Last week I spent a couple of days at an employment workshop where I learned about networking, resumes, interviews, etc.  I then spent several hours on Thursday conducting mock interviews using the camcorder to record myself.  It was a good learning experience as I found several things that I needed to brush up on.  I was able to put this practice to good use on Friday as I had one of those marathon interviews that lasted all day (9am - 3pm).  I think it went well and I look forward to hearing back from them this week.

I am very optimistic that I will be employed soon and greatly appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
