Some of you know that we have been worried about Nathan's job for a couple of weeks now. Every day has been quite stressful with not knowing if the rumors that were floating around work were true. It was hard to send him off to work every day not knowing what was going to happen. But we found out today that most of the rumors were true. Nathan, and about 70% of his fellow employees were laid off. It is sad, although I have shed far more tears than Nathan has. (It must be a pregnancy thing.) In some ways we are glad it is over and that now he can begin looking for a new job. And he is glad that he isn't one of the few left to try and keep the company afloat. He has really enjoyed his experiences at ZARS, and he wouldn't change it. He made a lot of good friends, and we hope that somehow we will be able to keep in touch with them all. And we hope that all those families affected by the layoff will find work soon.
Keep us in your prayers, but know that we know that the Lord has a plan for us. We may be coming upon some hard times ahead, but we have faith that it will be okay.

Our thoughts are with you guys! Keep us posted and we will do the same. What a bummer!
Oh that really stinks, I'm so sorry. But your right, the Lord has something better in store for you.
:(. I'm not entirely certain that being one of the leftovers is a good thing after we talked it over last night. I've just had a stomachache over it for days.
Hang in there. Nathan is super smart and capable, and there's got to be a fabulous job with his name on it.
I am sorry to hear that Nathan lost his job. The economy isn't helping things right now is it? Keep up the faith and all will be well!
Jen, I am so sorry! I just want to say, don't be afraid of looking at pharmasceutical companies out of state. It has been such a good experience for our family. Jared has some connections through friends who interned or have accepted job offers from pharma companies such as Johnson and Johnson and others if you need them. There is also a huge phara companiy called Eli Lilly here in Indy(home of the worlds largest children's museum!).
I have been there being pregnant and unemployed and it is hard. But you are right the Lord will take care of you. He did for us. If you need to talk about things email or call us. We love you and are here for you!
it is a pregnancy thing because he lost his job when you were pregnant with tyler...i'm sorry, it's a crappy situation. hang in there!
I am sorry to hear about Nathan's job Jen. We will definitely keep your family in our prayers.
How stressful! We will definitely be keeping you in our thoughts, and I know that things will work out. I'll keep my ears open for anything I hear, and please let us know if we can help you!
Thanks for the apples! We love them! I'm sure Nathan will find something! I hope everyone finds something! (We are relieved that Paul is not trying to save the sinking ship!!) Everyone is in our prayers!
