I was tagged by Amber at http://holbrookfam4.blogspot.com/ . I've been thinking about this for a while. I haven't forgotten that I was tagged over a week ago. I am suppose to list 6 random things about myself. Which I don't think is very easy. I consider myself to be a very boring an uninteresting person. So I will do my best.
1. I am considering and 90% sure that I would like to try a natural birth with my third pregnancy, possibly using Hypnobirthing. I know most of you think I am crazy. But my friend Heather did it and swears by it. And Tyler's delivery seemed to be so much less painful than Daniel's because I wasn't as scared and I knew what was happening, and that is the big part of Hypnobirthing, NO FEAR! If you could have a labor and delivery without drugs and pain wouldn't you do it? I would like to at least try. I like the idea of it. Although the use of the weird hypnotic/relaxing music and relaxing phrases are kinda weird and I don't know if I could do it without laughing.
2. I have such a go with the flow personality that I don't get much done on most days. Of course there are weeds to pull (which I really like doing in the Spring, but not so much in the Summer), cleaning to do, and organzing to do.
3. I am a terrible organizer. Maybe I should hire Bryttin to come and help me. I try my best, but I was never taught many organizational skills, so I am quite lost. I wish I could be like my sister Christine who has a place for EVERYTHING in her home. Maybe that's my problem. Not enough storage space, or maybe it's too much clutter.
4. I can read a 700+ page book in 3 days. I become consumed with books, especially if they are really exciting. It's like a movie. I can't just put it down, and not know what is next. I even dream about the book, and can't sleep because it's all I think about. Especially with Breaking Dawn.
5. I like to cook, excpet when I feel nauseas, and I consider myself to be pretty good at it. At least that is what Nathan tells me. Baking is another favorite, as long as the kids aren't helping. I'll leave that for Nathan. He's good at letting the kids help without lossing his patience.
6. I like to can fruits and vegetables, and make jam. It makes me feel crafty even though I'm not. I just wish it didn't take so much time, or make such a mess. Canning peaches is my favorite. I just have to be careful not to eat them all before I get them in the jars. Ummm....fresh peaches!

I agree- peaches are heaven! I'm so impressed with the hypnobirthing. A friend of mine did it, too and she swears that it was so much easier. Plus- I thought it was some new-fangled idea- but my Grammy told me that she did hypnobirthing with all of her kids! Amazing!
My friend did all natural births with her children and they were huge! She is convinced it is the way to go. I don't think you are crazy at all. I wish you the best in that. Looking forward to the peaches at the end of summer-yumyum.
I did a hypnobirthing course before I had Ethan. Can't say that I was a model student...Alan wasn't helpful with the practice sessions because he just HAD to make up his own even sillier script lines. He was actually quoting one about jelly donut mists to me just the other day, the turkey. I do think I learned some good techniques. I had epis with my last two for various reasons, but avoided one with my first two. The most important thing is to make sure Nathan is on board to really be your support person, because if he's only into it halfway it'll be hard to pull it off. I've also heard that the newer Hypnobabies course is more well rounded and better than the old standard Hypnobirthing course. Worth looking in to. For what it's worth, my mom had 12 kids without any sort of pain medicine.
Hey, my peaches are really peaking flavor wise. If you want some more, you can certainly come and pick some. Shoot me an email - hvawdrey at gmail dot com.
