This year my resolutions come in different categories. Is that weird or what? But this year, I didn't just want random goals, I wanted them to be goals that would help me in different areas of my life. I hope I will be more successful this year than in years past, and that I will be able to work on my goals throughout the year and not just for the first quarter. I have been kind of hesitant to make any at all because I am afraid I will fail completely with the baby coming in the next few weeks. (I'm praying for sooner rather than later.) So this year I want resolutions in different catergories; spiritual, physical, family and goals for Nathan and I together. (Nathan doesn't really like the idea me setting goals for him, but I think some "couples" goals will help make our relationship stronger, not that it isn't strong already, just stronger.) Nathan also tells me that my goals need to trackable, or how else do I know that I am reaching my goal. Also, he says, that I don't need to be perfect right away, that is defeating the purpose of a goal. So, with those in mind...
Spiritual Goal-
1. Read my scriptures on a daily basis. (Even if it is only for a few minutes while sitting on the toilet.)
Physical Goal-
1. Get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight.
2. Run a 5k. (How hard can that be?)
3. Exercise at least twice a week.
Family Goals-
1. Do more activities together.
2. Read the scriptures. (I will get up in the morning to do this, I will, I WILL.)
Nathan and I-
1. Date night twice a month.
2. Read scriptures together.
3. Find time once a week to sit down and talk with each other about family, each other and whatever else I am feeling like talking about. (Usually it is me that just needs to talk and talk and he listens until he falls asleep.)

Hey, I'll run the 5k with you. Pick one and get ready for it and I'll show up to be your rah rah cheerleading running buddy. That way you'll have to stick to it ;).
Those are great goals! My goals include no carbonation, exercise 3 times weekly, and tons others that'll I'll fail in 2 weeks :-)
Hee hee! Nurse Heidi beat me to it! I'll run a 5K with you if too! I'm thinking of doing the SLC 5K in April. I think you have great goals-good luck with them!
You can TOTALLY do a 5K. The SLC 5K one they usually do around April is really well organized and they really pump you up to succeed when you get there- lots of people run with jogging strollers too. That's an awesome goal- go for it!!
Jen, my goals are similar to yours! I guess that's the stuff that is easy to slack off on. I'm thinking about taking up running too, so let me know when your 5k is.
Awesome! It's great that you've made them really specific. It will make it a lot easier to stick with them. I will cheer you on! :)
Jen, I like your goals. they sound very similar to mine. I particularly like the get together once a week to talk. . . mostly because it sounds just like craig and I. . . I talk until he falls asleep. . .
