Veggie Tales

Last night we went and saw Veggie Tales Live at the Utah State Fair. We love Veggie Tales, even Nathan and I. They are so cute, and fun. If you don't know what I am talking about, Veggie Tales is a Christian like production from Big Idea Productions (http://www.bigidea.com/) where cartoon vegetables tell stories from the Bible and talk about morals. Most of you are probably thinking that sounds like something you wouldn't watch. But they are so fun! The songs they sing are so fun and catchy. Nathan and I sing them for days. Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato are the main characters. But there are other characters like Junior Asparagus, Pa Grape, and Jimmy Gourd. The veggies also take on other various titles according the role they are playing. Some of our favorite stories are Daniel and the Lions Den, Jonah, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, The Lord of the Beans (parody of Lord of the Rings) , and The Wizard of Ha's (The story of the prodigal son using the Wizard of Oz as a story line). The movies aren't the only fun part. So are the songs. In almost all the movies, there is a part where they do "Silly Songs With Larry", and he has really funny songs, "Water Buffalo", "Hair Brush" and more. One of my favorites is "The Belly Button". It's suppose to be an N'Sync like song and it is so catchy. Nathan hasn't stopped singing a song about "Barbara Manatee" in a couple of weeks since he saw an episode on Saturday morning cartoons, on NBC.

I would recommend to anyone with little kids that they go and rent one at the library or go out and buy one. You won't be disappointed.
