Vacation time!

This year our family vacation was spent here, just up north in Ogden and Farmington. Nathan didn't have a lot of time off this year and we didn't want to travel too far with the baby. He just isn't a good traveler.

Day One was spent in Ogden visiting Eccles Dinosaur Park, the Treehouse Museum and the Hill Air Force Museum. And the next day at Lagoon in Farmington

Day One-

Dino Park

Treehouse Museum

This isn't a museum of tree houses. The inside is like a giant treehouse with different areas to explore. The two areas they enjoyed most were the music area and the firetruck. But they also liked the farm and train area where they could play with little farm and train sets. If we ever make it there again, maybe they will get enough courage to "milk" the pretend cow.

Our trip to the Air Force Museum was quite uneventful, and in our haste to get out of the car to see the planes in the 15 minutes that it was still open, I left my camera in the car. Just imagine, big old air force planes, with and without missles. I thought they were neat.
I have lots of pictures of Lagoon, which I will leave for another day and another post. It takes too long and after a while, my kids need my attention.

We love the treehouse museum! Last time I went there, I happened to accidentally pick free day - bonus :). It's a little stressful with Katie age kids, because it's so big and has so many levels of stuff to do, but I still like it better than Discovery Gateway.

I haven't been to Lagoon yet. Ever. My kids think I'm a fink for not taking them. Not sure it'll happen this year.
